Eaton Corporation Construction Manager in Chandler, Arizona
Eaton’s Electrical Engineer Services Division is currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our team. This position will cover the West Region and can be based in WY, CO, NM, AZ, UT, ID, WA, OR, NV or CA but will ideally be based in the Pacific Northwest or Phoenix AZ.
The purpose of this position is to provide construction management expertise in Electrical, Civil, Structural and Mechanical aspects of large turnkey construction projects. This position also advises teams of designers, engineers, project managers and contractors.

In this function you will:
The Construction Manager is responsible for managing the on-site implementation of project deliverables
Manage project Kick-Off and develop detailed subcontract agreement
Manage equipment receiving
Maintain project safety, schedule, budget, design accuracy
Manage QA/CC control of the project.
Supports the Sales Force and Project Manager during the front end estimating of a project which will carry through to construction.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with 5 years of experience in Construction or Project Management
OR Highschool Diploma/ GED from an accredited institution with 10 years of experience in Turnkey/Construction Management experience.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Experience with large power distribution, hydro and/ or substation construction
Project Management experience
Professional Engineer license
OSHA 30 Certification
First and CPR Trained
General Contractor license
Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera Scheduling Software
Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA
Contract and Subcontract Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and skills to manager project scope changes
Knowledge and understanding of turnkey projects
Ability to Develop and Maintain Construction Schedules
Ability to work with design team to create cost effective designs.
Ability to improve contractor efficiencies
Ability to manage contractor budgets
Ability to manage Safe Work Environment and Program which includes but not limited to Job Site Safety Analysis, Rigging Plans, Environmental Risk Planning, Job Audits, Confined Space Programs and Lock and Tag Procedures.
Ability to create and maintain project QA/QC Process
Contingency Planning Expertise and knowledge
Ability to create, prioritize and maintain project action item list.
Ability to maintain accurate as-built documentation and punch-lists
Ability to maintain daily/weekly progress reports
Ability to support multiple projects
Document control experience and expertise
Ability to manage and execute large scale construction projects with multiple trades.
