The CDM Program is managed within the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate, (NPPD)/Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division, responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. The DHS CDM Program mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving. The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks.

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is looking for a talented and motivated Configuration/Change Release Specialist to join our DHS Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) team in the National Capital Region (NCR). The CDM Configuration/Change Release Specialist provides configuration management planning including provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. The Specialist also identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation, and is responsible for configuration change control. The CDM Configuration/Change Release Specialist regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. He or she is also responsible for configuration audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met and supports quality assurance process audits.

More About the Role:

  • Works with the RFS Project Managers, Systems Integration Team, and Operations Support Team to plan major and minor releases

  • Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for changes

  • Develops and documents new control and configuration management business processes to support system and equipment life cycles

  • Assists in maintaining configuration management databases and conducts audits

  • Assists in reviewing released engineering change data and changes, documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies

  • Attends CM meetings and assists in facilitating review and control board meetings to include preparation of agendas, handouts, and minutes

  • Assists in developing briefs and status reports as needed

  • Prepares and updates the list of infrastructure configuration items

  • Prepares and submits Change Requests, tracks and documents CDM solution configuration changes and releases by Components.

  • Produces monthly and yearly release management metrics reports

  • Maintains master list of Component-specific Change Control Board schedules

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent years of experience

  • 3+ years of change and configuration management experience

  • Experience maintaining configuration management processes for an enterprise network

  • ITIL v3 Foundation

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • ITIL v3 Service Transition

  • ITIL v3 Release, Control, and Validation

  • Experience with Remedy ticketing system

  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, identity and access management and hardware asset management technologies

  • Relevant DHS or .Gov Cyber Security focused experience

  • Experience supporting DHS ICCB process
