CACI International Oracle DBA / DB developer (Expand Your Tech skills) in Chantilly, Virginia
We are seeking a passionate fully cleared Oracle DBA / DB Developer with knowledge and proficiency with an enterprise database technology (e.g., Relational, SQL database, In-Memory databases, NoSQL databases and new emerging databases). Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies. Identifies customer database requirements. Defines optimal conceptual, logical and physical data models that address customer requirement and balances performance (e.g., indexes, views, snapshots) and storage (e.g., normalization, de-normalization). Incorporates security, back-up, and disaster recovery into database designs. As the PRIME contractor, we support Mission critical software application systems. Diversity of project offerings with many different applications being developed with different types of development work (front-end, middle-tier, back-end, database development, etc.). What You’ll Get to Do:
Work in a big data environment with new and open-sourced technologies
Fast paced; Interaction with many people on a day-to-day basis
Integral part of the project and deals with cool data.
Assist application developers in creating and maintaining their database schemas, implementing VPD, managing their data, and troubleshooting performance issues.
Support application deployment.
Serve as an interface between the application developers and the onsite DBAs.
Attend meetings with application developers to assist with database issues and gain an understanding of the application.
Attend interface meetings along with application developers to assist them in understanding database issues.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
- A minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Work Experience as DBA/ DB Developer using Oracle.
Understanding of data modeling.
Active TS/SCI with favorable polygraph
