is seeking a1099 Proposal Manager

Consultantto support the Security Strategic Business Unit (S-SBU)

headquartered in Chantilly, VA. The Proposal Manager is the focal point for all

S-SBU proposal efforts and manages proposal development and ensuring proposal

process and practices remain aligned with Business Development, Capture, and Business

Plan strategies. The proposal efforts can range from $20M - $200M.

Duties and


· Excellent

communication, organization and collaboration skills are critical to success in

this role due to the need to support multiple levels of management, diverse

teams, and multiple projects simultaneously.

· Provides

input for bid and proposal team assignments; lead team to translate win

strategies into proposal win themes, develop key messages and produce

compelling, professional documents utilizing benefits statements, graphics and

proofs. Ensure consistency with brand, value proposition, communication

guidelines, business objectives and style standards.

· Facilitates

the swift formation of a proposal team, establish proposal schedules, shred the

RFP.RFQ/RFI or task order, develop annotated outlines for timely conversion to

writers; templates, and lead or participate in the kickoff.

· Maintain

schedules, organize resources, coordinate inputs and reviews, ensure bid

strategy implementation, ensure compliance, resolve internal team issues and

provide process leadership.

· Leads

the proposal team, define expectations, manage resulting action items,

facilitate lessons learned discussions post submission and post award.

· Research

and analyze data and information provided in solicitation documents and prepare

responses in various formats to Requests for Information, Quotes or Proposals.

· Develop

and manage products using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Upload,

manage and coordinate documents in SharePoint.

· Support

a dynamic schedule which may require evening and weekend work.

· Other

duties as assigned

· Eight (8) or more years of

demonstrated experience supporting business development activities for US

Government contracts.

· Demonstrated experience in

prioritizing proposal opportunities, outlining solutions and leading small to

medium size federal proposals, with a minimum of $10M dollar value.

· Bachelor’s degree from an

accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience. A

Master’s Degree or PMP certification is preferred.

· Demonstrated experience with

SharePoint and Microsoft Office products.

ability to multi-task in the support of multiple simultaneous proposals.
