What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Research Analyst you will maintains the direction of the task as provided by the customer and/or management. You will provide team leadership to junior personnel while providing feedback on their processes and analytic conclusions. Oversees and participates with the team performing research and analysis of intelligence and related data in support of the customer’s mission. Provides functional expertise to developers in such areas as computer software system design/development, installation and integration planning, testing, and support of a wide-range of systems that support intelligence functions. Uses in-depth knowledge of the customer’s mission and technology used to accomplish a given task.
More About the Role:
Conducts Automatic Declassification Reviews (ADR), Systematic Declassification Reviews (SDR) of NRO records to determine which records may be released to the public and which records should remain classified. Reviews 25 year and older material requested by the public under the Freedom of Information act (FOIA) or Mandatory Declassification Request (MDR) and makes a determination of which records may be released to the public.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work.
Demonstrated competency in performing complex administrative and analytic
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, high attention
to detail and strong organizational skills;
Proficiency in working in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, and policies
governing the IRR business area;
A solid understanding of the history, organization and activities of the
A thorough grasp of classification and declassification principles and
Experience analyzing complex data and making recommendations.
Familiarity with SharePoint, AdobePro/Redax, and CADRE/HighView, and HP-TRIM records management software;
Knowledge of the history of the NRO and/or the IC;
Knowledge of satellite reconnaissance or intelligence collection;
Previous experience in information review and release case administration or
Previous NRO experience; and
It is highly desired that all personnel have experience applying/following
classification and declassification principles and practices.
