CACI is seeking a Sr. Windows Systems Administrator,
What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications
Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity
Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users
Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment
Supports new infrastructure projects. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure
Monitoring system performance to support capacity planning
Implementation and monitoring of system backups and disaster recovery
Performing system upgrades and maintenance tasks, including installation and configuration of Windows operating systems, administration of user accounts, and maintenance of system security posture.
Troubleshooting network and operating system problems
Supporting architecture design studies for technology refresh planning and implementation
Evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problem identification and resolution
Create and maintain multiple virtual server and virtual desktop systems based on VMware
Provide Tier II and Tier III user support
Architectural design, implementation and continuous improvement of support and application system infrastructure.
System performance tuning, data recovery, etc.
Installing and upgrading system software and supporting operating system configuration in support of application and database software.
Creating, maintaining, and restoring system backups.
Providing technical input for policies and procedures and maintaining accurate documentation on those policies/procedures.
Research and investigate problems, diagnose and provide resolution or viable solutions for hardware and software issues; appropriately escalating and reporting recommendations clearly and effectively to management and team.
Research and remediate vulnerabilities.
Under limited supervision, as project leader and onsite subject-matter expert for Citrix products assumes responsibility for planning, implementing and supporting Citrix-related projects
On-call support is required as well as occasional shift and weekend work
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering or related degree program; or current IT certification with sufficient technical experience to substitute for the formal education requirement.
Minimum 5 years experience in supporting Windows Server Operating Systems
Ability to work well in a team environment, promote customer service and handle complex technical issues
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Security+, CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH certificate.
Ability to support on-call rotation and accept calls during the night to support the Windows servers
Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop (version 6 or 7)
Experience with Windows Group Policies
Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure (MCSE / MCSA for Windows Server 2008 or newer is preferred, but not required)
Experience with incident and change management processes
Experience with Windows Server administration and support
Familiar with storage technologies
Strong oral communication skills and experience briefing senior management on technical issues and problem resolution
CISSP Certification a plus
Experience designing, implementing, migrating and supporting Citrix suite of products (XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, etc.) version 7.x including Citrix Receiver is desired
