Account Manager, Captives

Uses substantial risk experience to perform critical client functions, including: evaluating risks, reviewing loss experience, cash flow and financials, developing solutions, articulating impact of options. Leveraging prepared analytics and making recommendations to client across product lines. Produces monthly and quarterly financial reports. Completes and files premium tax returns and other regulatory filings. Retains business and collaborates with other Account Management colleagues on generating new business. Serves as a client contact and responds to complex client needs and questions to improve the client experience. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of changing market condition and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients. Keeps abreast of regulatory and market changes that may impact business and, as a result, have the ability to adapt accordingly. Implements growth and retention strategy and works to meet sales goals. Drives relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth. Ability to pay attention to detail and autonomously prioritizes tasks. Proactively identifies clients’ needs while also offering solutions. With general supervision, you would be responsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger as well as the resulting managerial reports and financial statements. You would work to ensure regulatory compliance on behalf of the clients. It would not be uncommon to post accruals and prepayments, reconcile intercompany accounts, reconcile P&L and balance sheet accounts, produce monthly consolidation reporting pack, produce statutory accounts, compute corporate tax (in conjunction with tax function), and possibly analyze cost center reporting. Performs all functions of accounting, from recording journal entries to preparing financial statements. Other responsibilities include full−scope accounting, regulatory compliance, facilitating claims processing, monthly meetings with clients, and preparation of certain tax documents. Maintains highest degree of professionalism and provides exemplary customer service to internal and external clients. Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of accounting and finance experience
Commercial insurance experience preferred
Advanced use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Access
Ability to work with tight deadlines
Highly proficient and professional oral and written skills
Experience working with external clients preferred
Bachelors degree required
