- Primary Role*
Responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity of all facets of Facilities, Fleet, and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) programs to provide efficient, effective and standardized services supporting business priorities for the state.
Act as the state champion for MRP. Document and provide quality control measures on MRP policies and practices. Support other employees in resolving issues and encourage adoption of MRP processes for purchasing inventory.
Manage Fleet processes to include procurement, maintenance, utilization and reporting, ensuring data integrity. Identify and act on opportunities to improve fleet utilization and reduce operating costs.
Oversee facilities and ground maintenance as required within the state, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
Maintain, set, and control inventory levels, order points, and economic order quantities for local warehouses as well as construction and maintenance projects. Owns inventory results for the state.
Analyze historical data, current trends, and economic forecasts to identify business unit specific opportunities and risks.
Maintain procedural documents and ensure the integrity of system data (e.g. SAP, PHH) for each of our operating units.
Adhere to departmental budgets and provide input into quarterly forecast and annual budget process. Calculate and report balance sheet improvements.
Recognize and protect sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality as required

Able to analyze multiple sources of data, draw conclusions, and identify opportunities to reduce cost or improve efficiency.
Able to sell own ideas to others in the organization, gaining trust and buy-in to facilitate implementation.
Knowledge of inventory concepts such as MRP, Safety Stock, Cycle Counting and ABC Inventory Analysis.
General knowledge of operations and maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project), SAP and/or warehouse management systems.
Three to five years’ experience in inventory management and operational support.
Experience in the management of people, processes, technologies and budgets. Lean / six sigma experience desired.
Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. management, engineering)
Certifications & Licenses*: APICS certification preferred
Periodic travel in the state up to 50%
