The Role

The Analytic Manager 5 is a new position within the Community Bank’s Strategy and Administration group and will report directly to the Analytics & Reporting leader. The Analytics & Reporting Team is responsible for the following: supplying reporting to the Community Bank team members and leadership to influence and monitor initiatives, optimizing the staffing of branch team members, and developing insights and models to inform initiatives and strategies that will ultimately improve customer experience and business outcomes. This manager position will lead a team of senior analysts that will be aligned to directly support the Community Bank Operating Committee members including the Regional Bank Executives and the leaders of Customer and Branch Experience, Strategy and Administration, and Customer Segments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the Community Bank’s operating committee members and their leadership teams to become a trusted advisor by providing analytic support and insights around key strategic initiatives

  • Create the appropriate connection between senior leaders and the Analytics & Reporting team to:

o Ensure a common set of data, facts, and insights are known and used by senior leaders and their teams

o Enable a data-driven approach to decision-making

o Socializing key insights generated across the broader Analytics & Reporting team.

o Align analytic work and resources to the highest value priorities as dictated by the senior leaders (creating a feedback loop from senior leaders to inform analytic priorities)broadly attuned to the events, initiatives and activities that are influencing the business

  • Lead complex analytic projects from problem definition all the way through the presentation delivery to senior leaders

  • Demonstrate broad business acumen by conveying analysis and insights that are relevant to and influence key business priorities

  • Develop key partnerships across the analytic community to deliver holistic solutions to business problems by leveraging and bringing together the appropriate expertise

  • Partner with Finance leaders to create the material for Community Bank Operating Reviews

  • Build relationships across the Analytics & Reporting team to create connection points from analytic projects to senior leaders’ key priorities

The Ideal Candidate…

  • Experience leading a team of analysts and consultants responsible for leveraging data through insightful analytics to inform sound business decisions

  • Combines superior analytic and problem solving skills with excellent communication skills, to discover and present key findings associated with complex analysis in a way that influences decision making

  • Able to translate business needs into actionable and value added deliverables

  • Demonstrated ability to form strong, trusted, and collaborative relationships with business partners to ensure alignment while achieving business goals

  • Knows how to rise above the numbers and explain the essential idea to business users who do not always understand the analytical details

  • Proven strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including results packaging and development of management presentations

  • Is well organized to manage and prioritize competing deliverables

  • Experience in the financial services industry

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, modeling, or a combination of both

  • 6+ years of management experience; or 6+ years of leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function
