Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, and both individual and institutional retirement.

As part of the Wealth and Investment Management Next Generation efforts to create horizontal functions to support all client coverage channels, a new organization has been formed to drive delivery of its non-investment products and services. This new group, Wealth Client Solutions, brings teams and functions currently found across WIM’s consumer businesses under a common, WIM-level organization. The team will be focused on transforming from channel-based to client-focused solutions and delivery in an effort to reduce operational risk, improve efficiency, increase consistency / coordination, and bring focus on product management / development to drive innovative growth and improve the client experience. Additionally, the new group will drive a WIM-level culture of product management excellence by creating a culture of innovation, product excellence, and client service and risk mitigation. This team is responsible for the following functions:

  • Lending and Banking Products (custom and consumer packaged)

  • Deposits Strategy and Management

  • WIM Enterprise Partnerships

  • Trust and Fiduciary Services Management

  • M&A Business Advisory Services

This position inside the Asset Valuation Group will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely valuations for assets held in trusts and those used as collateral for loans extended to clients.

This role would be responsible for supporting the Asset Valuation Group to deliver:

  • Assist with methodology around how industry assets are priced. Working with operations team to review pricing from vendors and compare valuations – create recommendations to the business.

  • Develop pricing approaches for non-industry assets leveraging multiple different constituents, and potentially models, to get a justifiable price

  • Develop reporting to inform management of pricing issues and monitor asset pricing.

  • Develop quantitative tools & methodologies including discounted cash flow, market multiple, and market transactions, used to verify and price assets in compliance with enterprise standards.

  • Perform a challenge function covering both internal and external price adequacy, inputs and methodology.

  • Work with large data sets to identify issues

  • Develop periodic price verification process to ensure asset pricing accuracy across WIM.

Asset Valuation Group Description

Functions of team:

  • Centralized front office function responsible for core pricing and valuation across all assets in client accounts across WIM.

  • For Marketable securities, team will work with operations to determine what pricing sources should be used for which product types. Team will monitor viability of vendors and review reports from operations on stale pricing. For trust specific assets, this team will create recommendations for approval in the Pricing Committee.

    • Non-marketable assets*

o Responsible for business standards around pricing these assets (i.e. can we use insurance value vs. market value?)

o Alternative assets

o For Sponsored funds liaise with GAI and verify we are correctly pricing assets and make sure the operational processes work correctly

o For direct funds will monitor all direct funds, distributions, and pricing for these funds

o For hedge funds monitor all direct funds, distributions, and pricing

* * Specialty assets* (Real Estate, Farm & Ranch, etc.)

o Work with specialty asset group to monitor and be a secondary check on specialty asset pricing

o Create standards on asset pricing timing and documentation

* * Misc Assets* – TPP and ITPP

o Monitor pricing on assets

o Create standards and documentation for asset pricing timing and documentation

o Partner with operations, who will monitor pricing, to resolve all pricing issues work correctly

o For direct funds will monitor all direct funds, distributions, and pricing for these funds

o For hedge funds monitor all direct funds, distributions, and pricing

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, modeling, or a combination of both

  • 6+ years of management experience; or 6+ years of leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function
