Wells Fargo WWM Data Services Technology team is seeking a hands-on data services SQL code Developer with reporting tools background to work on Wells Fargo Enterprise Data Technology team to partner and work closely with Wells Fargo Advisors business (WFA) and Technology (WIMT) teams. Most of the data initiatives drive WIMT systems to develop, build, deliver efficient report solutions and capability that drive the reporting of risk metrics, compliance reporting, etc. These reports are leveraged to deliver information to our Advisors in which we are able to produce queries and analysis of their book of business. This information is used to provide insight and information to Advisors in which allow them to gather data about their practice and clients, which can be used in many ways to support business initiatives. Examples include determining if they are meeting firm standards or right sizing their book of business. WFA obtains significant benefits from this reporting software by providing Advisors the ability to perform analysis on their practice and books of business to mitigate risk, increase client satisfaction and quality of advice, as well as adherence to best practices and revenue generation for the firm. This role would primarily be focused on application development, SQL tuning, enriching and conforming data to common data structures. This individual will conduct interfaces with other systems, create test data, perform unit testing and recommend solutions and process improvements to resolve problems in relation to different business requirement processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement highly distributed, scalable processes - Staging, Data Enrichments using SQL, Strong data enrichment & delivery techniques using reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Actuate, Microsoft SQL Server SSIS/ SSRS, OBIEE, , Autosys and Unix

  • Identify key business processes and deliver data subject area/design processes to load physical data models for better SQL performance

  • Perform data research, analysis, conceptual and logical data modeling to solve data issues, validate and document business data artifacts

  • In-depth understanding of entity relationship design, data normalization & relational modeling techniques

  • Effectively communicate data design to other members of the team to ensure proper implementation and utilization of the data structures.

  • Work very closely with business analysts, development teams and project managers for requirements and business rules.

  • Support ongoing SQL, Report builds with efforts for Development, QA and Production environments.

  • Experienced with code management, change management and deployment controls and processes.

  • Pays attention to details and has strong communication skills both in verbal and written and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and business users.

  • Be able to facilitate discussions with technology and business team members to resolve issues

  • Be able to guide Development teams with any issues encountered during various phases of SDLC.

The work location is Charlotte, NC or St. Louis, MO.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 3+ years of experience with analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting

  • 3+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements

  • 3 + years of experience leading multiple workstreams, applications, or deliverables

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 3+ years of data management experience

  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Exposure to Wells Fargo PAC2000 -WF's ticketing system based on Remedy application

  • Ability to present complex concepts to senior management

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
