The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. If you believe that “conversation is the new UI” and would like to help make this new paradigm a reality at Wells Fargo, then this is the job for you. In this exciting, hands-on role you will design and deploy conversational Virtual Agents (VA’s) – AKA “chatbots” – for Wells Fargo.

This is an opportunity to join a start-up team within a large organization. The AI Enterprise Solutions team supports numerous VA platforms. We partner with Lines of Businesses (LOB’s) seeking to introduce conversational interactions to their customers and team members.

Conversational Designers will support business partners on working with our Virtual Agent platforms. Responsibilities include:

  • Partner closely with LOB partners to advise and guide them through the process of designing, deploying and maintaining the LOB’s Virtual Agent

  • Partner with LOB SME’s to understand and assess use cases - including the context, the topics, and the types of questions they expect users to ask the Virtual Agent

  • Gather information to design the “intents” that define the conversation interaction - along with the associated “utterances”, “entities”, business rules, and so forth

  • Act as a liaison between the LOB and our AI Product team to ensure that our Virtual Agents deliver intelligent and intuitive conversations, resulting in a great customer experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • Ability to develop and execute business vision, strategies, and goals

  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of product management development

  • Experience with design, implementation and governance with Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning Architecture

  • Knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) disciplines such as Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry trends and business applications

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
