Bank of America Business Control Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Business Control Manager is responsible for designing Quality Assurance programs and monitoring in the Financial Center channel as well as escalating issues through the appropriate forums within Financial Center Business Controls teams. Will support our risk culture and use strong analytical skills to identify emerging risks. Will assist with Quality Assurance deliverables to drive operational excellence to ensure adherence to enterprise standards. Will review input sources as needed to identify and escalate issues to process and control owners and lead multiple forums to discuss and debate potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understands end-to-end Quality Assurance processes to ensure adherence to enterprise standards

• Identify and execute operational excellence deliverables for Quality Assurance programs

• Drive risk identification culture within the business

• Design Quality Assurance monitoring programs to identify emerging risks

• Proactively review critical Financial Center processes to identify emerging risks

• Lead weekly forum to discuss potential issues across business controls team

• Manage intake process for new Quality Assurance monitoring requests

• Document results and track potential issues

• Proactively identify internal processes that may benefit from simplifying

• Support QA Strategy manager as needed with routines, dashboard, etc. as needed

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• Experience with Business Controls, Risk, Process Design, Compliance, and/or Audit within a business function

• Strong analytical capability to drive root cause analysis, identify emerging risks, and escalate issues

• Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to influence within and across the organization, including at the Senior Leader level

• Demonstrates leadership, leading through change and process improvements to deliver results

• Demonstrated problem solving, strong follow up skills and ability to escalate and gain resolution as needed

• Self-starter able to work independently, with minimal oversight and guidance

• Strong organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize and meet deadlines

• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization and at all levels of management

Desired Skills:

• 3+ years Process Design, Risk Management and/or Program Management roles

• Bachelor's Degree

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

• Knowledge of Financial Center Channel systems and processes
