The Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst will be a key contributor within a growing data and metrics-driven culture. The role will develop and maintain data analytics and visualizations which empower compliance programs within Wells Fargo Securities, Government and Institutional Banking, and Corporate Banking lines of business. The position is within the Solutions Management, Analytics, Risk, and Technology (SMART) team which provides project management, technology, surveillance, metrics, analytics, and process risk management in support of Compliance Officers who specialize in particular product and services areas of Wells Fargo Securities’ global business.

A successful candidate blends strong analytical and problem solving together with a professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. He or she brings 6+ years of experience working with data in any number of hands-on roles such as: business intelligence developer, data architect, data developer, creating dashboards, performing data analytics (such as aggregations, data mining), or data science.

Key responsibilities include technical hands-on work with data such as creating dashboards, data models, data integrations, and reports. This role will also support driving projects to completion. Candidates are expected to learn and comply with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.

  • Presenting insights and recommendations to management

  • Collaborating with business owners and teammates to solve business problems

/Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements./

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both
