Specific Job Description

The Compliance Quantitative Operations Associate, under supervision, develops and evaluates quantitative analytics/modeling in Compliance Risk Management.

This role provides results to the Compliance Officers that support the front line unit and control function within Bank of America as directed. The Compliance Quantitative Operations Associate develops and validates quantitative models and applications in support of the company’s strategic efforts to mitigate compliance risk. This role assists in developing and strengthening processes for data mining, assessment, and validation to ensure usability and reliability of data. The Compliance Quantitative Operations Associate prepares statistical analysis and reports to support regulatory requests and examinations as well as presentations to business units and regulators.

This role maintains a subject matter expertise of bank data, understands the content and assumptions underlying data sources, possesses a strong knowledge of extraction, transformation and loading data from various systems, and has expertise in data quality and consistency. The Compliance Quantitative Operations Associate collaborates at multiple levels across the enterprise.

Additional responsibilities include: Understanding of the performance measurement programs within Compliance and Operational Risk, particularly as they pertain to Metrics and Key Risk Indicators

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in applied statistics, operations research, mathematics, physics, or similar quantitative field

SAS programming & Python knowledge

Experience in understanding and interpreting new regulations and their impact across diversified businesses.

An aptitude for learning and remaining current on industry rules, regulations and best practices to help ensure that the firm’s compliance program meets regulatory standards and strives for a best-in-class industry standard.

Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to effectively engage stakeholders and foster collaboration among Compliance, the business and other control functions.

Ability to challenge and “ask the right questions” when tracking and reporting on implementation of regulatory changes.

Delivery-focused and disciplined approach, with an ability to be proactive, work under pressure and within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to project confidence and professionalism in all dealings with business personnel.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint

Experience with risk modeling for financial institutions

Tableau

Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Compliance Risk

Demonstrated experience with managing and manipulating large datasets
