The Role

The Distribution Finance Consultant will report to the Distribution Finance Manager for Community Banking and provide centralized financial analysis and business case production support for distribution related activities that involve significant capital commitment (i.e. de novos, relocations, closures, lease renewals, and purchase/sales). The team is responsible for partnering with the Distribution Strategies Group (DSG) and the Corporate Properties Group (CPG) to proactively provide Community Bank leadership with comprehensive recommendations and obtain approvals per current governance standards.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with DSG, CPG, and Region Leadership.

  • Serve as trusted financial advisor providing expert consultative support to all business partners.

  • Provide accurate, timely, and detailed due diligence for each individual real estate deal, assessing financial impacts of all alternatives considered and completing associated business cases.

  • Take ownership of financial projections and advocate for decisions that drive the best outcomes for Wells Fargo incorporating a multi-LOB perspective.

  • Monitor business results and perform post-mortem assessments to refine financial modeling capabilities and enhance future decision making.

  • Help create a culture of expense discipline and continual improvement in operational efficiencies.

  • Uphold and maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure regulatory, data, and controls compliance for all processes/programs undertaken by the Distribution Finance team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in a financial services environment

  • Experience driving and leading organizational change in a dynamic environment

  • Experience in financial statements, projections and financial modeling
