The EFL Performance Coach Senior Consultant serves as a subject-matter-expert and is responsible for delivering and facilitating energy management concepts in Energy for Life workshops and balancing timelines to provide leadership for the overall scope of EFL projects. The incumbent demonstrates strong and compelling facilitation skills to promote wellbeing and energy management strategies. In addition, this role leads new program client engagement and gains support for difficult decisions that can impact expenses timing or resource commitments. Finally, in addition to coaching and mentoring other team members to continually enhance energy management capabilities and classroom skills, this role provides coaching and mentoring to team members on project planning and execution.
Facilitates EFL workshops for employees and Allstate agency employees, involving frequent travel to field locations (approximately 50% travel time)
Participates in the design and delivery of energy management consulting engagements with client areas as identified
Designs and delivers speaking engagements for internal or external groups
Leads the design and delivery of EFL toolkits and other supporting resources to deepen an individual’s full engagement
Engages stakeholders to advance energy management projects or initiatives of moderate complexity; and implement new or enhanced offerings, maintain project documentation, plans and communication and collaborate with resources in other departments
Supports the on-going development of Energy for Life Performance Coaches by providing mentoring and coaching to further develop project management capabilities in addition to facilitation skills
Gathers and analyzes energy management related data (such as participant feedback, Inspire Leadership and Culture Surveys or other measurement studies); influences the direction and prioritization of new and existing energy management initiatives
Leads process and/or service improvement related work streams such as Agency Owner or FSL engagement process
Impacts team results through innovative approaches to development (taking on new content, new delivery modes, new approaches to train-the trainer sessions to reduce cycle time while maintaining quality)
Gains support for programs and services through influential behaviors and impactful results
Partners with leaders and contribute to strategic projects and initiatives that may include:
Providing subject matter expertise in discussions to integrate EFL and BDP initiatives into broader Human Resources and Enterprise cultural initiatives
Coaching and intact team services for Allstate leaders throughout the organization to increase the energy and engagement of leaders and their teams
Contributing to organizational and sustainability efforts to support a culture of health, wellbeing and employee or Agency Owner engagement
Furthers departmental and company knowledge through research, internal/external benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc.
Coaches energy management advocates or other partners to increase organizational energy management capabilities Partner with EFL vendors to ensure effective delivery of services; provides feedback on vendor to EFL leadership
Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, nutrition, dietetics, kinesiology, exercise science, or related field; Masters preferred
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience with subject matter expertise in nutrition, overall wellness/health/wellbeing, fitness and performance, etc. preferred
Solid experience in a complex corporate or business setting strongly preferred; prior experience in a structured environment, yet decentralized organizational model extremely helpful
Advanced workshop delivery and facilitation skills
Advanced consultation and coaching skills
Analyzes ambiguous problems, develops effective solutions and enlists commitment by involving others throughout the process
Strong interpersonal and partnership skills in order to work with individuals from all backgrounds and organizational levels
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Advanced organizational skills-- ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deliverables and expectations, while working independently
