This position is part of the HR Leave Operations Team which is part of Talent Services within Corporate HR. This role recommends and implements new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Manages metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations. The ideal candidate possesses demonstrated accomplishments within leave of absence operations. This position provides leadership and direction to a team of 10 HR Specialists responsible for leave of absence processing and billing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with business partners on implementing evaluation and success measurement strategies.

  • Identify and negotiate resolution of issues, escalating as necessary, while ensuring task completion according to established timelines.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members in development and delivery of programs and tools.

  • Define creative approaches for leave processing to optimize and improve leaves administration.

  • Work effectively with partners, Project managers, Analysts, Payroll and Vendors

  • Provide hands on leadership to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are accurate

  • Facilitate team and one on one meetings

  • Present and attend meetings with Internal Partners to clarify process and support Leave of Absence interdependencies (Legal, Displacements, ER Solutions)

  • Development and maintenance of Leave Billing and Processing reports

  • Support of Vendor compliance audits

  • Review of the Leave of Absence Policy (TM Handbook, Manager Center)

  • Support for ER Solutions, Corporate Benefits, Compliance and Legal inquiries for escalated/litigated Leave of Absence cases related to leave billing, benefit reinstatement and processing.

  • Management of the worklist queue in HR Helpdesk

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of customer service experience

  • 2+ years of leadership experience
