Wells Fargo’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO) consists of enterprise functions that work together to promote and protect the Wells Fargo culture and brand, and support our team members. Groups within CAO work to protect our reputation, tell our story, bolster team member engagement, connect with our customers, and bring new and innovative solutions to life. CAO functions include Commitment to Customer, Corporate Responsibility & Community Relations, Data Management & Insights, Human Resources, Marketing, Stakeholder Relations, and the CAO Integration and Planning Office.

Manages learning and development (L&D) initiatives and programs for one or more Lines of Business. Ensures effective consultation with business leaders resulting in learning strategies and solutions to positively impact team member performance and achieve business results. Partners with instructional design team to create learning strategy and solutions. Ensures effective delivery of learning and development solutions; allocates budgeted resources to meet the developmental needs and business priorities of one or more Lines of Business. Uses comprehensive knowledge of many aspects of learning across one or more business disciplines to introduce new development programs and solutions to advance One Wells Fargo and drive business uit performance. Collaborates with senior managers and HR Professionals to recognize and recommend learning solutions to improve talent development, team member engagement and retention within one ore more Lines of Business or a business division. This Learning and Development Manager manages a team of Learning & Development (L&D) consulting professionals to ensure effective delivery of Risk and Compliance training solutions enterprise–wide. May provide support in areas of learning-related resource coordination, process, project management, and initiatives.


• Managing, coaching, and developing Learning & Development staff to enhance performance, contributions, internal customer focus and career development

• Managing the Enterprise Compliance & Risk training solutions by working with proponents to ensure policy alignment, uphold the governance process, and act as a team member advocate by ensuring team members are taking courses relevant to their role.

• Delivering on the Enterprise Compliance & Risk training, learning and development strategy to maximize learning solutions focusing on both the regulated and non-regulated user populations.

• Delivering on the Risk and Compliance training learning and development strategy to maximize learning solutions.

• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies, decrease complexity, leverage economies of scale and skill and technology, to reduce overall learning expense and improve learning solution effectiveness.

• Leveraging performance metrics and measures to continually assess the effectiveness and value of programs and processes being used.

• Maintaining current knowledge of best practices in learning and development solutions, industry practices, and implementation solutions.

• Building strong relationships with others in a proactive manner

As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of learning and development experience, human resources experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)

  • Ability to manage business partner priorities from a strategic and tactical level in a large HR organization

  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills

  • Strong negotiating skills

  • Management experience in a virtual or remote environment

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

  • Experience with financial services businesses in a regulated environment

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment

  • Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change

  • Knowledge and understanding of the banking industry

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
