Job Description:

The SEC Reporting team is part of the CFO/Corporate Controller organization. The primary focus and key priorities of the team are the preparation of Earnings Release documents, Form 10-K/Qs and certain other filings with the SEC. The business partners include those from each of the Finance Business Units (Consumer Banking, Global Banking, Global Markets and GWIM), Corporate Treasury/Finance, Credit, Regulatory Reporting, Legal, Investor Relations and Accounting Policy.

The teammate in this role is responsible for preparing, proofing and reviewing sections of the Form 10-K/Qs and 8-Ks as assigned, staying up to date on banking industry, FASB and SEC accounting and reporting developments, developing financial statement disclosures in response to new accounting guidance, identifying and researching reporting issues.

Generally, the SEC Reporting work routine is heaviest during the January and February timeframe for the Form 10-K and during the months of April, July and October for the Form 10-Qs.

As part of the responsibilities of the role, the teammate will develop business partner relationships with various Finance Business Units, Legal and Accounting Policy. Throughout the tenure of the role, the teammate will gain exposure and acumen in the SEC Reporting and Accounting Policy area of the organization, and develop or improve the following skills: verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, technical and analytical ability.

The team is composed of approximately 11 employees located in Charlotte NC.


  • BS/BA Finance/Accounting

  • Intermediate Excel, Modeling, Data Manipulation

-Two to four years experience within the financial services industry, SEC/financial reporting a plus

-Proven analytics and problem solving skills

-Strong communication, organization, analytical and leadership skills

-Detail oriented

  • Public Accounting Experience

  • SAP/eLedger

  • FASB/SEC Exposure

  • Financial Statement Analysis Experience
