WindStream Communications Manager - Account Management - SMB in Charlotte, North Carolina

Manager- SMB Account Managementwill lead the Inside Account Management team located in Charlotte, NC (Matthews). The team is responsible for interacting both proactively and reactively with assigned customers identifying sales and retention opportunities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to analyze performance data and take appropriate action to solve business challenges is essential. Requires a focus on rep enablement and development to effectively retain and grow the assigned customer base to meet and exceed performance goals.

The Manager- SMB Account Management will assist in customer escalations and assist in daily/weekly/monthly sales tracking and reporting.

The Manager-SMB Account Management will report to the Director- SMB Account Management.

Key Competencies:

Leadership– responsible for guiding assigned Inside Account Managers in day-to-day activity and assisting them in problem resolution and customer escalations. Coordinates individual and group trainings, facilitates weekly one-on-ones, side-by-side coaching, and holds team accountable to delivering results. Will strive to lead by example. Accountable for maintaining/exceeding Total Billed Revenue target & Monthly Sales and activity goals.

Time Management– must demonstrate the ability to manage daily activities to effectively balance between leadership responsibilities and efforts to coach and develop the team to accomplish expected results.

Interpersonal Skills- must be able to effectively build and maintain both internal and external customer relationships. Must foster a positive relationship within the organization and demonstrate the Windstream Business Values and Brand at all times. Expected to promote an effective and enjoyable work environment for the team.

Windstream Knowledge- must maintain a high level of knowledge in Windstream products and process and be able to train/assist Account Managers. Expected to continually strive to improve team’s knowledge through training and side-by-side coaching.

Collaboration- will represent the Inside Account Management team in cross-functional meetings and work with all departments to make sure action items are completed.

Minimum Requirements:

College degree or equivalent and 6 years professional experience; or 10 years professional level equivalent related experience; or a combination of education and related professional level experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Sales Management experience with Direct and Indirect Reporting structures. • Customer Relationship management skills including demonstrated ability to display a strong customer service orientation • Well organized self- starter, with a high level of attention to detail • Excellent interpersonal skills • 2-5 years of sales of network communication and/or managed IT services experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, power point, etc.) • Experience with sales force automation systems preferred
