Manager, Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff reports to the Chief Technology Officer for Deloitte s Function Relationship Management Group (RMG). The FSS Relationship Management Group is responsible for multi-million dollar technology portfolios across Audit & Assurance, Risk and Financial Advisory, Consulting, Federal, and Tax.

Work you ll do

The Chief of Staff (COS) will support a wide range of projects, coordinate strategy, plan initiatives, manage reporting of project/initiative work progress, set and organize agendas, and prepare communications to key stakeholders and executive leadership regarding projects/initiatives.

  • Works closely with leaders to facilitate execution of key projects and initiatives.

  • Provides strategic, analytical and project management support, and keeps leadership abreast of noteworthy events, milestones and issues in their area of responsibility.

  • Leads RM projects/initiatives. Supports integration of all appropriate channels and sub-channels involved in execution and delivery of projects/initiatives.

  • Ensures the timely communication and flow of information among leadership and key stakeholders for projects/initiatives. Serve as a conduit and contact point so key objectives are communicated clearly and can be met.

  • Maintains lists of leadership team priority action items, and monitors progress on action items. Oversees and executes other significant "strategic administrative" responsibilities: develops and maintains calendars, schedules and facilitates meetings, responds as appropriate to inquiries from various leadership groups.

  • Contributes to / oversees the development of internal communications deliverables (including emails/voicemails, newsletters, presentations, speaking notes, etc.) to relay key messages or ask for participation/execution on activities.

  • Enables the Relationship Management (RM) strategy, ensuring the strategic values of RM are being executed in a timely manner and consistently.

  • Serve as escalation point of contact for each account team to help support their role and serve as holistic change agent for RM.

  • Partner closely with Enabling Areas (EA) Leadership to maintain consistency in approach, reporting and metrics, and strategy.

  • Manage administrative functions for CTO FSS-RMG.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Relationship Management Group (Account Teams)

The Account Teams strengthens relationships between ITS, Deloitte business lines, and enabling areas and manages ITS as a business by:

  • Serving as the primary point-of-contact and trusted advisor for technology needs including results, resolutions, and expectations monitoring; opportunity escalation; continuous improvement; and service excellence.

  • Driving strategic alignment of technology to business priorities to maximize the value of IT investments.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree

  • 5 -10 years of related experience

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

  • Project management/delivery experience

  • Upward management skills for working with senior leaders

  • Executive interpersonal skills

  • Strong negotiation, consultative, and influencing skills

  • Ability to travel 30% to Hermitage, Houston, and other office locations as needed

  • Self Starter who can work with little oversight

  • Ability to thrive in a fluid environment

Preferred:

  • Advanced Degree

  • PMP Certification
