Marketing Data Strategist
An exciting opportunity for an innovative and strategic leader to evolve and drive the way that data is used to enhance marketing and drive a customer centric strategy at Bank of America. This role will be a key member of the GM&CA team, developing a data strategy, a multi-year roadmap with technology, analytics and lines of business, and coordinating routines and committees to help drive progress to tactical deliverables while overseeing the overarching strategy.
This position will be responsible for understanding our position within the financial services vertical but also across industry, to articulate our strategy in the context of current and future regulatory considerations around data use and also consumer data protection concerns.
The candidate must be a leader capable of both strategy and execution and possess deep expertise in the data space. Working knowledge of the financial services industry is encouraged. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly assess the current landscape, develop an approach and rapidly advance the marketing data strategy and roadmap.
Develop, collaborate and articulate the bank’s consumer business marketing data strategy. Develop short, mid and long term plans to achieve customer centric vision. Coordinate buy-in across organization and be able to succinctly tell story.
Understand internal technology applications (e.g. Hadoop, SAS) and the role they do and can play in driving vision.
Understand industry data practices, both in and out of financial services vertical, regarding use of data, customer centric infrastructures and use of DMP technology to drive digital engagement.
Res.earch and development on new data sourcing strategies and applications, along with those on near horizon
Drive data and application technology to business specific use cases
Understand internal funding strategies and cost implications
10+ years of experience in marketing / data / media / content development roles (some experience in financial services industry preferred but not required)
Experience in digital marketing a plus
Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a matrixes organization and a fast-paced environment
Ability to engage senior leadership, effectively influence and collaborate, aligning stakeholders and partners
Ability to collaboratively manage stakeholders, teams, agencies
Proven ability to set strategy and clearly communicate an approach to stakeholders and business leaders
