Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

WBS Lending Solutions Group

This position will lead the management and strategic direction of the Portfolio Management & Servicing solutions supporting Wholesale. They are responsible for building and maintaining the systems and partnering with the Wholesale technology team on delivering key product and data enhancements, regulatory changes, technology upgrades, and efforts to understand and continuously evaluate costs and factors of expense. This leader will work closely with business partners, product owners, data providers, and senior executives to assess business requirements and ensure business needs are being met via a defined product and services roadmap.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Relationship Management *

  • Work closely with business partners to understand business processes and value chain to align solutions to business need and priority

  • Partner with Wholesale technology on Strategic Planning

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmaps and platform strategy

  • Build a product roadmap aligning solutions to services with SLAs, OLAs, costs and budget models

  • Differentiate services for strategic tools based on business needs

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technology in the domain

  • Develop consultative services and innovative capabilities for core solutions

  • _Leading the Team _*

  • Continue to evolve the organization structure for the group that will allow for effective, efficient and consistent services to all of our partners. Includes speed to market, cost reduction, and a focus on elimination of duplicative systems across the environment. Consider and define proper alignment of delivery between individual tools/products, centralized services, and integrated solutions.

  • Oversee and support the day to day management of the business including staffing head count, new and replacement hires, expenses, annual approvals process. Support annual budgeting process to establish growth rates, targets and outlooks across all product sets and business areas

  • Focus on TM engagement, development and coaching the team to develop solutions that have the right balance between meeting business needs and capturing efficiencies of scale and quality of delivery

  • Facilitate cross-Wholesale user groups for product strategy, roadmaps, and knowledge sharing

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, product development experience, or a combination of both

  • 4+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
