IBM Global Markets is currently seeking a Server Sales Specialist. We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling IBM's Server portfolio to maintain and grow existing revenue streams and relationships in large Communications/CSI Accounts. You must be self-motivated, ready to interact daily with a variety of other smart and highly motivated people, and work in a changing environment where no two days are ever the same. Our Sales Specialists deliver industry centric business solutions to clients of all sizes and markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Navigate IBM to identify and acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the client.

Apply IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods, and models to ensure world-class design and delivery.

Not only do our salespeople sell some of the world's most innovative IT and business solutions (Big Data & Analytics, High Performance Computing, Open Source based solutions), they get to interact with clients in a wide array of fields.

Demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the client's business

Skilled in provocative consultative selling, with an understanding of the client's needs and IBM capabilities

Commercially minded and capable of supporting end-to-end sales engagements with the ability to think, plan and act strategically

Extensive networking and interpersonal skills in complex environments

Self-starter with eagerness to seek and build new skills

Required:

At least 5 years experience in IT Server Solution Sales

Demonstrated knowledge and selling experience of IBM Power and Z servers and associated solutions is required.

Preferred:

At least 2 years experience in GPU based solutions

At least 1 year experience in understanding of the IBM organization, all IBM Systems brands and IBM SW Portfolio.

At least 1 year experience working in Industry solutions areas such as Fraud Detection, Risk Analytics and Trading Simulation.

Location:

Should live in the Northeast Corridor of the U.S. with easy access to a commercial airline / airport (NYC, Boston, Washington D.C. / Baltimore, Philadelphia metropolitan areas are preferable.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years experience in IT Server Solution Sales

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 2 years experience in GPU based solutions

  • At least 1 year experience in understanding of the IBM organization, all IBM Systems brands and IBM SW Portfolio.

  • At least 1 year experience working in Industry solutions areas such as Fraud Detection, Risk Analytics and Trading Simulation
