Bank of America Sr. Finance Analyst- Business Support in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The US Trust Investment and Fiduciary Finance team is part of GWIM's CFO organization. The primary focus of this team is to provide financial and strategic support to the business partners of the US Trust Investment and Fiduciary organizations. Key responsibilities of this role include financial reporting and analysis; headcount and metric reporting, profitability analysis; planning and forecasting; and expense management. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Throughout the tenure of the role, the teammate should gain exposure to senior leaders and business acumen to the US Trust segment of the organization, and develop or improve the following skills: relationship and team building, time management and problem solving.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (accounting or finance strongly preferred) or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of accounting or financial analysis work experience

  • Strong communication, organization, presentation, analytical and leadership skills

  • Analytical Abilities / Financial Acumen - Systematic application of a combination of inductive and deductive reasoning to examine information, interpret results and arrive at well-founded logical conclusions.

  • Understanding of accounting principles

  • Builds Partnerships - Builds broad-based business relationships across the organization. Skillfully influences peers and colleagues to promote and sell ideas. Works well with others in a team environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, with an emphasis on strong Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

  • Strong businessacumen

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Business Mastery – attention to detail, comfortable functioning in a highly dynamic, ever changing environment, always meets/beats deadlines, manages multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Desired Skills

  • Financial planning, analysis and reporting experience

  • GWIM product knowledge

  • Ability to prepare power point presentations

  • Knowledge of eLedger is a plus

  • Initiative – demonstrates the ability to be a self-starter

  • Applies business know to solve business problems and create new opportunities
