As part of the Parkridge Health System, patients also have access to OB-GYN services, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults./
Position Summary /The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for providing technical leadership to the engineering departments within Parkridge Health System. Oversees and coordinates construction activities. Serves as facility liaison for GE BioMed and Diagnostic Imaging Services/.
Performance Expectations Demonstrates those ability to: * Maintains building operations. * Support Environment of Care Standards. * Establishes annual goals for department based on hospital strategic plan. * Supervises the Performance Improvement activities of the department. * Assures compliance with appropriate regulations. * Oversees financial management of department. * Manages departmental personnel. * Maintains a safe work environment. * Provides management and technical leadership to engineering departments. * Reviews and revises, as necessary, departmental job descriptions and evaluations. * Demonstrates compliance with Risk Reduction initiatives. * Comply with all policies/procedures in order to maintain a state of continual survey and regulatory readiness. * Actively involved in PI process as applicable in department. * Participates in and demonstrates compliance with the Patient Safety initiatives. * Oversees the functions and duties of the Engineering Department Personnel. * Performs corrective maintenance in a timely manner. * Performs tests and inspections on various equipment and systems. * Assesses needs and orders spare and replacement parts. * Has working knowledge of the principles of electricity, i.e. voltage, resistance, current * Conducts daily rounds as assigned, logs equipment readings, makes indicated adjustments and/or creates work requests for major repairs. * Proactively identifies and performs needed repairs to buildings and equipment. * Maintains Environment of Care by following the standard procedures: Life Safety, Infection Control, Universal Precautions and Security. * Completes electronic work orders on a daily basis. * Demonstrates knowledge to access MSDS information. * Demonstrates the ability to operate construction tools and equipment. * Performs other duties as assigned.

- Associates Degree in Industrial Technology preferred.
Licensure/Certification: * Current Driver’s License, CPI (within 30 days of hire).
Experience: * Five-years in management of a maintenance program in a hospital or commercial/industrial setting. Construction background is preferred.
