The Global Service Product Manager role is part of the Laboratory Products Division (LPD) which unites deep scientific expertise, a collaborative culture and rich resources to deliver the lab equipment and consumables that our customers need to achieve their scientific goals – quickly, reliably and safely. Our smart lab solutions make it faster and easier for our customers to focus on what matters most – delivering answers and innovations that save and improve lives. The role will reside in Chelmsford, MA. This position has not been approved for relocation assistance.

How will you make an impact?

The Global Product Manager will be accountable for driving growth in the Water and Lab Products (WLP) services business. Impact will be measured by revenue, margins and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for all the global product management activities for the service portfolio which includes field service, depot repair and technical support. The WLP service business is focused on providing our customers in markets such as power generation and municipal water with programs and support to optimize the operation of water analysis instrumentation at their sites.

Water is one of the most important resources in the world today and water quality is a growing issue/concern. Our mission at WLP is to provide tools for water quality and water purification and to help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, safer.

What will you do?

  • Establishes, and maintains the services roadmap for the assigned products.

  • Collaborates with customers to understand their business needs and strategic objectives, develops service offerings needed for the assigned products.

  • Determines the pricing strategy for applicable services.

  • Works with Field Service to define the service delivery strategy and processes.

  • Works with Marketing to develop the marketing plan.

  • Works collaboratively with other members of the Business Unit and service organizations to drive growth for the business segment.

How will you get here?


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Management.


  • 5 years cumulative experience in either product management, marketing, service management or sales. Customer facing experience is preferred.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and guide teams which include representatives from multiple functional areas.

  • Experience interacting with customers.

  • Strong analytical skills - ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based upon market trends analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, lead cross-functional teams, and act with good business judgment.
