The Healthcare Analyst will provide technical support to Account Executives and Account Managers in the development of new accounts and maintenance of existing accounts within the Group Benefits department. The essential functions of this position are as follows: Analytical report development to include: quarterly financial analysis and benchmarking; preparation of benefit summaries, cost analysis, claims analysis and other management reports for assigned accounts. Function as resource to Group Benefits department by providing research of technical benefit related issues as directed. Provide assistance in the integration of technology into departmental workflow. Provide training to department on the use of software, carrier integration tools, and other available information technology tools as needed. Project lead for planning, implementation and maintenance of department software enhancements. Lead or participate in the presentation of data and information to clients and/or other team members. Develop standard reporting package for Benefits Administration clients. Create databases to assist in client service and financial reporting. Construct presentation models and tools for delivery of benefit comparison, claims analysis, cost analysis, and other management reports to clients. Structure training and implementation tools for responding to RFP, for a consistent approach to submitting client information to insurance carriers and vendors. Marketing responsibilities as assigned, to include soliciting quotes; monitoring bid requests; preparing benefits and cost guides; and proposals. Act as ongoing resource for client report generation. The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS): or the equivalent combination of education and training. 3 years up to and including 5 years of experience in a benefits analyst capacity with an agency or carrier. 1 year up to and including 3 years of experience in technical support and computer systems is preferred.
