At Schinnerer, underwriting management has been a distinct discipline for over 60 years. Our expertise lies in evaluating risks, implementing program marketing, developing and executing risk management activities, and servicing accounts on behalf of our insurance company partners. We then distribute these products through our distribution network of licensed brokers.

We are currently seeking a leader with Cyber experience who is looking for a fast paced, high volume environment that is growing quickly and provides daily evaluation of strategic opportunities. This role will be responsible for leading a team in underwriting new policies and renewals, determining the best program opportunities to pursue, setting direction for the team, organizing and delivering training for both the underwriters and brokers, program coverage coordination with the carrier, and determining areas for creative expansion.

The technical aspects of underwriting as well as the production responsibilities for the group are critical performance metrics for the role. It is important for the candidate to be able to organize a team around performance parameters and then implement necessary guidelines to ensure execution to meet goals and determine adjustments as needed to deliver results. Additionally, the candidate should be well versed in developing techniques, training and adjustments in order to secure new business and retain existing accounts, while managing the development of department project plans within prescribed timelines.

Collaboration among the staff, other underwriting departments, and other resource groups is critical to the success of the program and this role will be central to coordinating the communication activities. Communication with senior management is critical considering the expansion opportunities and historical success of the program. Qualifications

10 years of insurance related experience, management liability preferred but not required

Cyber Insurance experience is a plus

Supervisory and leadership experience preferred

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations

Strong analytical and judgment skills; excellent problem solving ability
