Marsh subsidiary, Schinnerer at Chevy Chase, MD is looking for a Senior Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst. The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to IT and business users by understanding and documenting requirements.
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects, including managing multiple testing responsibilities, encompassing the complete testing lifecycle to ensure our solution meets the requirements outlined in the Business Requirement Document and performed without defects.
Lead business requirements and software development life cycles as they relate to testing activities. This includes the requirements documentation, review, and the design, development, and execution of smoke tests, integration, functional, and regression tests. Ability to understand and articulate business / system functionality requirements and / or process flows in order to document, test cases & analyze results. Understand software application functions / capabilities for the core applications that are used by operations to recommend changes and/or improvements. Work with developers, business analyst and business to ensure that the functional test cases will sufficiently test the technical details and complex business rules as part of a comprehensive test plan. Provide leadership to team members and peers in due time by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results Write test plans with the ability to ensure proper coverage, and perform risk based regression testing. Design the Manual and Automation Test Strategy & Test Plan and ensure all test cases map to business requirements using a requirements traceability matrix (RTM) and report on results and progress. Write and execute efficient and effective test plans and test cases, provide oversight of business user acceptance testing, and the review of development testing efforts. Perform defect management, defect aging and defect resolution activities to ensure adherence to quality assurance goals and guidelines. Prepare and validate testing status reports and provide status updates to all levels of management. Monitor, measure, communicate potential issues to appropriate audiences and get business sign-off upon delivery. Participate in other initiatives as directed by manager. Qualifications Having a background in manual testing and some sort of automation testing whether it be QTP OR Selenium is preferred. 5-7 yrs experience with Manual and Automated testing. Team oriented individual, comfortable with collaboration, constant communication and self-directing tasks. Have the ability to work in fast paced environment within a small team that collaborates with multiple teams. Be able to learn new technologies at an accelerated level. Experience working with HP QC/ALM, DOORs, SharePoint, QTP, Rapid SQL or any applicable testing tools is preferred. Some business analysis experience is a PLUS. Experience in insurance industry is preferred. 7+ years of experience Victor O.
