Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production; plans, designs and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems and/or DSP systems.
Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic, electro-mechanical or mechanical components, assemblies or integrated circuitry for hardware systems for the external market. Includes new design, as well as modification activities that results in significant product enhancement. Activities encompass design, analysis, testing and process development using engineering principles and methods. Technical disciplines may include electrical and logical design of printed circuit boards or integrated circuits; mechanical design of electronics enclosures or integrated circuit packaging; and embedded software/firmware design.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 0 1 year of professional full-time work experience, excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience.

As a Hardware Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic, electro-mechanical or mechanical components, assemblies, or integrated circuitry for hardware systems for the external market. o Computer Architecture, VLSI, Digital System/Design, Analog System/Design, Microelectronics Circuits, Microprocessor Design, Embedded System, Parallel and Distributed Architecture, Memory System, Operating System, RTL Design, RF Design, Mechanical Design (e.g. machine design, structural design), Statics & Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Thermal Analysis, Vibration & Structural Dynamics, Plates & Shell Theory, Linear & Non-linear Analysis, or equivalent to the above.
Have completed at leastoneinternship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or formal project in one of the technical areas listed above.
Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.
Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2020.
