Event Specialist II - Sales Productivity - NetSuite

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle NetSuite is growing - and

looking for an experienced Event Specialist who will plan, coordinate and

deliver fantastic events in support of the NetSuite Sales team - with an

overall goal of contributing to their productivity and revenue generation. These events are attended by internal and

external audiences at US and International locations.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Plan, coordinate and

deliver events in accordance with the Sales Productivity Training strategy and

calendar.

  • Provide Project

Coordination to include: scheduling of logistics, travel, catering, hotel

reservations and AV

  • Supervise and

coordinate the activities of the event vendors including hotels, catering,

staffing personnel, as well as subcontractors

  • Monitor and coordinate

event timelines.

  • Prepare event budgets,

contracts and reports

  • Provide guidance and

information to internal clients

  • Interact with vendors,

partners, senior leaders, and employees across the organization.

  • Ensure that all

contractual obligations are met

  • Ensure that quality

client/customer standards are met or exceeded.

  • Write event

newsletters and distribute internal communication updates

  • Manage internal swag

inventory site and maintenance for reorders

  • Organize event folders

with the proper documentation and keep them current for historical and

up-to-date reference

  • Document and share best practices

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • 3 years of relevant professional

experience, to include significant event planning, coordination and delivery.

  • Budget planning, tracking and reporting

experience.

  • Vendor negotiation experience.

  • Scheduling and calendaring experience.

  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook,

Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Outstanding verbal and written

communication, interpersonal, teaming and customer service skills

  • Ability to effectively and autonomously

manage time, prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to engage and partner with

internal and external contacts at all levels,

  • Flexibility for business travel without

restriction, including international.

  • Ability to work overtime, including

outside of normal business hours.

  • Technology industry experience a plus.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Assist in the development and execution of corporate event marketing programs.

Assists in all aspects of pre-event program needs including but not limited to vendor selection and management, budget development and approvals, event registration and demand generation, venue selection and management (F and B, operations, etc.), event creative concept design and production. Manages all aspects of on-site event execution either directly or through outsourced vendors. Manages all post-event activities including development and execution of follow up plans for event attendees, uploading and tracking leads, wrap-up reports etc. Ensures that programs are executed successfully, efficiently and on budget so that customers experience a high degree of satisfaction in attending the event.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently with some assistance and guidance within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry desired. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in marketing, or event production/execution desirable.
