Description: The Risk Metrics Officer is responsible for defining, monitoring, and reporting on risk metrics and key risk indicators. Key Accountabilities • Ensures key risk measures are defined to measure the bank's risk exposure • Ensures the data feeding sub-risk indicators is high-quality, complete, accurate, current, repeatable, consistent and available • Ensures that key risk measures are real-time and available through self-service
Authorities Accountable for establishing and overseeing Second Line of Defense measuring and monitoring activities. Scope & Impact This job contributes to EI&TRM by providing second line management of BMO's efforts to reduce and manage risk.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or relevant educational and professional experience • Proven knowledge of risk management metrics, KPIs and KRIs • Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) Modeling experience • Knowledge of current industry trends and regulatory requirements for risk reporting • Experienced in producing risk reports for Board and Management • Experienced in using internal & external data to provide insights, develop analytical strategies, and provide analytical support regarding a wide array of business initiatives in the Cyber Security space. Experience in the Financial Crimes space an asset but not required.
