Marsh & McLennan Senior Administrative Assistant/Secretary in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description For Posting Mercer’s Health and Benefits practice focuses on the unique and challenging needs of group health insurance, providing a wide array of consulting services to companies across the country. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to senior-level people under limited supervision and work as a team with other administrative assistants. Administrative Responsibility Provides administrative support to a team of people in an extremely fast paced, professional environment Manages calendars, schedules meetings and arranges travel for the department to optimize work performance Processes expense reports in a timely manner Provides formatting and peer review of documents before final production/distribution to ensure quality control of final product Partners with Administrative Assistants in addressing the office support needs of the office Follows Mercer invoicing/billing procedures in a timely and precise manner Handles high level internal and external inquiries to support high level of client satisfaction and communication Undertakes more complex administrative duties with specific projects as required Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma required; College degree preferred Minimum 5 years administrative support experience preferred Advanced computer skills, including extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) Must have outstanding written, presentation and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing deadlines and priorities Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong judgment, discretion, confidentiality and decision making skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust, and confidentiality Ability to make decisions with limited direction Detail oriented to ensure accuracy At Mercer, we make a difference in the lives of more than 110 million people every day by advancing their health, wealth, and careers.
