TITLE: Senior Advisory Specialist (Marsh USA, Inc. – Chicago, IL)
DUTIES: Provides all practice specifictechnical knowledge expertiseto clients, engagedin servicing and advice associated with placements made or delivered to the clients.Utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry, and insurance market place. Reviewsclients' exposures and loss experience, and develops solutions and articulates the value to clients.Understand nuances of clients industryand the relatedrisks associated with industry and provides adviceaccordingly. Responsible for the finalplacement delivered to the client.Identifies the need for new products and develops innovative solutions for clients.Responsible for contacting Surplus Lines Liaisonas part of the placementstrategy and completion of any SurplusLines activities. Responsible for utilizing placementspecialist across all zones where product, industryor account criteriadictate. Contributes to the firm's body of knowledge withinproduct line throughactive internal communication. Keeps abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions. Receivesand analyzes quotesfrom carriers and provides analysis to clients including analysisof pricing, coverage,services, quote comparisons, financing, commentary and recommendation. Identifies differences against expiring,claims made, surpluslines, and subjectivities, loss projections, and cash flows. Responsible for order bind and the accuracy of programs upon client direction. Formulates the program procedureand proceeds to present market strategies to clients. Responsible for policy management includingfollowing up for policies, binders,review of policyagainst bound termsand conditions, request for corrections, and delivery of reviewed policy to Distribution for delivery to client. ReviewsPolicy with client. Understands and complies with the MarshCompliance and Transparency Standards. Responsible for creating the Renewal Strategyand Submission documents.
QualificationsREQ’TS: Must have Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Finance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field, plus ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as a Placement Specialist, Business Consultant and Project Manager, or a related position. Must have ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience with: risk profiles; insurance program structures; and leading RFP responses including delivering presentations for Fortune 500 corporations. Must have five (5) years of experience: utilizing Lloyds of London marketplace knowledge and an up-to-date appreciation of its value proposition to US corporations for both cyber and management liability insurance products;presenting and educating colleagues on management liability products, including cyber insurance, within domestic and international insurance markets; delivering front-line advisory services to Fortune100 companies; identifying and critiquing policy terms and conditions to ensure clients benefit from state of the art coverage; and providing clients with insight on the development of global management liability insurance programs based on clients' regulatory need for locally admitted insurance programs.
