About the Team

As a member of Oracle Construction & Engineering GBU product development organization, you will design and develop features in the Textura Payment Management Application. You'll join a fast paced and growing team to build the best solutions available for the construction industry.

Our team has built solutions using Python and Java. That said, we believe that great developers can program in any language. We're not looking for "N years of experience with technology X", instead we're looking for developers with excellent problem solving, great attitudes, and a drive to learn and improve.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Our team members design, develop and support the integration platform and subsystems that connects hundreds of customers to Textura Payment Management Cloud Application. As a member of the Integration team, you will be able to apply your software engineering knowledge in the development of high-performance, robust and modern web services that facilitate billions of dollars of B2B transactions every month.

As an Associate Software Developer, you will work on design and development of integration components according to provided specifications. You will also be asked to engage in customer integration issues and help resolve problems. While you will be expected to learn quickly and work independently, you will be part of a cross-functional agile team with senior developers for assistance and mentoring.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing and supporting both the public and internal web services / APIs

  • Building new reusable services and components using Python or Java

  • Working closely with your team of developers and testers

  • Interacting with customers to implement solutions and troubleshoot issues

  • Generating reports and investigating reported bugs

  • Writing technical API and design documentation

  • Learning and applying new technology.

A candidate should have:

  • An understanding of fundamental software development roles, processes and procedures

  • Moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes

  • Good communication skills as well as a positive attitude and a drive to learn

  • A BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

We believe that our technology stack is easy to pick up but experience with the following will help you hit the ground running:

  • Python and Python-based frameworks like Celery, Django, Flask and SQLAlchemy

  • Java and Java-based frameworks like Spring and Hibernate

  • Experience creating and consuming APIs and RESTful web services

  • Docker and/or other virtualization/container systems.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will use basic knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture.

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. Gaining competence in own area and acquiring a higher level understanding of role, processes and procedures. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 0-2 years of previous software engineering or related experience.
