With around 60 consultants nationally, the THM team works with clients to address the health of their employees globally- including strategies to improve quality and access to care, program delivery of population health management and organizational change management supporting employee engagement in health management programs. Provides you an opportunity to work with senior consultants, collaborating around the strategy, design, pricing, and administration of client companies’ health programs Allows you to use your natural skills and learn new ones Provides you the opportunity to work with some of the smartest people in the industry First hand exposure to client work Fun social and professional development events throughout the summer WHAT WE VALUE Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Effective communication skills Ability to function well in a team environment Creative problem-solving abilities Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE: Collection and analysis of data, summarizing and documenting information for client presentation purposes Learn about and utilize industry leading tools in the development and execution of client work (e.g., HERO Scorecard, RFI database, Mercer survey data) Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of a clients Assist senior consultants to review client needs, suitable approaches and implementation strategies Learn and understand the population health management marketplace and how a consulting firm evaluates clinical appropriateness/effectiveness Learn about some of the most innovative thinking and vendors in the health and wellbeing marketplace HEALTH CONSULTING INTERN REQUIREMENTS Progress towards a Master’s degree in a health related field Status as a currently enrolled student; candidates should have an expected graduation date in the Fall of 2019 or Spring of 2020 Record of top academic achievement (minimum preferred GPA: 3.0 out of 4.0) Legal work authorization in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future WHAT’S NEXT?
