Job Summary

Our current South Island Area Manager has recently taken a fantastic opportunity to lead an alliance to deliver one of New Zealand’s largest transport projects. As a result, we are looking for a talented senior manager to lead our South Island team, based in Christchurch. We are currently delivering a range of projects across infrastructure, engineering, buildings, environment and industrial disciplines and the focus of this role will be to ensure our team is enabled to continue to deliver great client service on these projects, as well as to continue to grow our business within the South Island.

AECOM operates a matrix structure across business lines and regions with a collaborative approach to developing great solutions, building business and leading teams. A key focus of the role is maintaining and developing a strong high performance culture across the teams in the Christchurch office that supports individuals to excel in their chosen field. This role reports directly to our Managing Director, and sits on the New Zealand Leadership Team – giving the person in this role a broad reach and nation-wide impact.

Minimum Requirements

About You

We are looking for a leader who is well respected in their chosen field with a strong technical background and a successful track record leading large teams of professionals. You will be a strong influencer of external and internal stakeholders with the ability to effectively engage people at a personal level. You have a demonstrable passion for client service excellence and an ability to drive client focus across the business.

You will have strong existing relationships and a solid reputation with a range of stakeholders in the South Island market. You are motivated by building and growing business, have strong commercial acumen and can effectively partner with internal service functions to create value.

As the leader of the region you are comfortable with public speaking, driving the AECOM story with local stakeholders and reaching out to our global network to bring the best of AECOM to meet our clients needs

You have the ability to create and maintain a high performance culture and business environment where people feel valued and challenged and you strive to successfully attract and retain talent.
