HR Manager

How will you make an Impact?

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner oversees Human Resources functions to support the business objectives of the assigned business unit(s) including our Commercial Manufacturing and Packaging Operations. The role will lead forward thinking HR programs and processes that will improve performance, retention and satisfaction of the employees.

What you will do?

Provide strategic and tactical HR direction that effectively partners with directors, managers and supervisors of assigned areas to enable business objectives.

Consult with functional leaders in areas such as organizational assessment, succession planning, organizational structure, and work force planning change management in order to strengthen overall organizational capability.

Drive the HR component of the business strategy through planning, developing, and implementing HR initiatives that increase the productivity, competence, and effectiveness of assigned client groups.

Counsel and/or coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with local culture and the business and legal environment.

Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive company culture while balancing employee concerns with all levels of company goals.

Lead long range staff planning processes including organizational design and effectiveness, talent assessment, performance management, leadership coaching and employee development.

Ensure effective talent management including recruitment, assessment and development as the organization grows both organically as well as through acquisition. Assist managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and encouragement of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work.

Manage the partnership with the talent acquisition center, including staffing coordination and job requisition management.

Advise and coach business leaders on management style, effectiveness and impact. Serves as advisor on HR impact of different business issues. Advises site and corporate HR departments on developments which could have broader impact.

Responsible for remaining up to date on relevant US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues.

Support COE and large scale HR initiatives (i.e., roll out annual programs, new programs/policies, etc.)

Facilitate the performance management process and communicates results to appropriate stakeholders and recommends areas for improvement.

Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach.

Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives including but not limited to salary review, workforce planning, organizational change, on-boarding, job analysis, new hire and exit processes, selection, performance, diversity and leadership initiatives.

Recommends new approaches, corrective actions, and updates to policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Assists with the administration and implementation of the same.

Interacts with other departments to revise and improve internal processes and procedures.

How will you get there?


Bachelor’s or Master’s Level education in Human Resources or related area of study.


8 years of experience and specialized knowledge of the Human Resources function

2+ years manufacturing experience and pharmaceutical experience is preferred

General knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resource administration

Ability to influence and build strong collaborative relationships with site HR, site leadership and corporate HR leaders; demonstrates strong customer orientation

Must have previous experience in coaching, influencing, facilitation, process development, analysis and problem solving.

Effective in working with peers, business partners, and other colleagues – embracing different people and cultures to positively impact business performance and foster strong team work and inclusion.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills     

Ability to act independently with minimal supervision

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Strong organizational and time management skills

Knowledgeable of employment law, organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management

Must be able to handle ambiguity and work in fast paced environment

Demonstrated business acumen (i.e., ability to understand key aspects of the company’s business strategy)
