Implementation Consultant II

Oracle Food & Beverage offer cloud POS software for the restaurant industry. Our Consulting team in Italy are looking for an Implementation Consultant to deliver our solutions both on customer site and remotely .

We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant with a good understanding of technology who wants to travel and is a quick learner.


-Analyse business needs and provide recommendations on programming the product based on the Customer’s specifications

-Provide training to the customer – head office / configuration and end user training

-Install and test functionality with the customer to gain sign off of go live readiness

-Support go live, ensure a smooth transition

-Answer operational and application questions and consult with the customer to transfer ownership of the system to the Customer

-Produce comprehensive documentation to assist with handover to the customer and/or colleagues

-Actively take control of the project deliver components and see these through to successful completion

-Keep in close contact with the Project Team, provide updates on a regular basis of progress and problems which arise

-Attend Customer meetings either on premise or at an Oracle location when required

-Carry out other appropriate scheduled work, tasks and duties in any of the Company premises as and when required

-Complete and maintain all Company paperwork in a timely, accurate manner within Company guidelines

-Document any faults, features or site specific items / issues as and when requested and also in line with the company’s processes.

-Liaise with other departments / organisations within Oracle to report, update and track requests

-Escalate internal or customer issues appropriately and effectively

-Travel to Customer premises or Oracle locations as required, both inside and outside of normal working hours

-Maintain and enhance the Company image by acting professional at all times

-Develop own knowledge by attending relevant training courses

-Share experience and knowledge with colleagues to improve overall knowledge of the team


-Experience installing software

-Good customer facing skills

-Good understanding of technology

-Basic understanding of networks – useful but not essential

-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

-Ability to train non- technical customers in using our POS

-Ability to travel

-Experience in Food & beverage is useful but not essential

-Language skills: Italian and English

-Locations: Rome or Milan

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Intermediate implementation professional who analyzes customer needs, configures the solution, and installs it at the customer site.

Ensure the solution meets specifications and functions per customer specific operational work flow for multiple concepts, users, and service models. Resolve any gaps in functionality. Train the staff on the use of the new solution, and take the site live on the system after everything has been configured and everyone is trained. Ensure a smooth transition to the new system. Answer operational and application questions and consult the customer in a manner to transfer ownership of the system to the customer. After "go-live", provide technical support to the customer.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant roles. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
