Eaton Corporation Principal, IT Project Manager - Supply Chain in Cleveland, Ohio

The Eaton IT Product Operations PMO has an exciting project manager opportunity focused on Supply Chain Transformation. This role is responsible for leading large, complex, high value Supply Chain Digitalization Programs across the SCM Ecosystem in areas such as SIOP, Distribution and Logistics & Procurement (Direct & Indirect). No relocation is being offered for this position. The candidate will be based at one of the following Eaton Facilities in US: Beachwood, Ohio or Pittsburgh, PA or an approved home office.
The Senior Supply Chain Project Manager will plan, control and execute project requirements following Eaton-prescribed process (ProLaunch and PMBOK) to ensure business objectives are met. The Senior PM will partner with Resource Managers to staff projects and clearly articulate project team roles – both functional and technical. Responsible for developing and managing detailed project plans (with clear critical path) and budgets. The Senior PM will manage the scope/requirements and ensure all agreed to deliverables are met while mitigating risks through robust plans. Responsible for organizational communication, training, adoption and change management. Vendor management is essential.

You will draft the project charter; ensure requirements are aligned with the scope and approved by the sponsor
You will work with resource managers to staff projects. Define and communicate roles for project team
You will develop the project plan with direct input from stakeholders that details the work break down structure, critical path, resources, and effort. Ensure stakeholders are committed to the plan
You will establish project budget; capital hardware, software, and labor; expense labor and non-labor
You will develop communication strategies with key stakeholders
You will develop risk management plans; identify risks and develop respective mitigation and contingency plans. Define the risk reserve and incorporate it into the project plan
You will manage employee, contractor, and supplier deliverables to ensure the project is completed on time per the schedule approved at Gate 2
You will manage quality of the deliverables. Ensure all requirements have been validated (i.e., traceability matrix) and ensure the user acceptance tests have been developed, approved, and executed to successful completion prior to going live
You will manage the project budget; track effort and green dollar spend; correlate actuals and forecast to the plan (burn rate)
You will lead communications with key stakeholders. Monitor and report on schedule and budget variances. Ensure all communications related to implementation are completed
You will document and drive issues through resolution; escalate to customer, supplier, and Eaton management as necessary
You will continually manage risk to reduce the impact or likelihood of occurrence
You will develop and manage the implementation plan including production verification. Manage issues at go-live and through warranty period closure
You will ensure sign-off on all major system deliverables by stakeholders
You will ensure all invoices are received and processed
You will ensure smooth transition to support and that the CMDB is updated
You will lead and document lessons learned with all pertinent stakeholders, review missed estimates with resource managers

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 10 years’ Project Management experience successfully leading major enterprise IT implementations in Supply Chain, ERP or manufacturing shop floor transformations, in large, multi-national organizations.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship
Position Criteria:
Technical knowledge:
Experience leading large Supply Chain Initiatives in Procurement, SIOP, Supplier Quality, Global Trade Management, Logistics and/or Distributions with Technology and / or Program knowledge of tools like Oracle Demantra, SAP Ariba, SAP IBP, SAP GTS and various Warehouse Management Solutions such as SAP EWM or Manhattan.
Advanced to SME understanding of Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management of some of the business processes at Eaton or a prior Company
Advanced to SME understanding of integration and impact points of involved systems globally for a division or function
Intermediate to Advanced technical knowledge and solid understanding of computer hardware and software, data management, application programming, data communications, operating systems, utilities and data security.
Soft skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; Presentation to senior management is essential; Leadership skills.
