Job Description

Serve as a Product Manager- Deposit Pricing for the Consumer deposit product set. This role will manage the KeyDirect portfolio, analyze product and market conditions, recommend and implement product and pricing initiatives. This person will make pricing recommendations based on the competitive markets, price elasticity models, economic profit, current and forecasted portfolio trends and performance. This person will also work closely with Regional Retail leaders, Technology, Analytics, and Marketing to execute on the pricing strategy. Tools utilized by this role require detailed knowledge database systems, statistical software and data visualization tools, and vendor supported optimization platforms. The pricing decisions executed by this role affect more than $70 billion of deposits across three business and 3 million clients.

Job Functions:

  • Own and manage the KeyDirect portfolio, Key s out footprint portfolio.

  • Implement and deliver product and pricing initiatives through effective Project Management.

  • Independently analyze identified issues, appropriately escalate and manage through resolution.

  • Collaborate with various partners on the development of accurate portfolio rate and volume forecasts.

  • Drive and support deposit product innovation in the Consumer Segment.

  • Partners with Marketing and our Sales & Service teams on the development of marketing programs that support our overall business strategy.

  • Provide thought and executional leadership as we work toward turning internal and external client/prospect level data into highly targeted marketing programs, product solutions and frontline sales tools.

  • Be a leader in determining how we best utilize data to drive deeper client and prospect relationships.

  • Drive new insights and actionable recommendations from data and analytics.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert when it comes to our partnership with Enterprise Data & Insights ensuring that our needs are understood and that our requirements properly documented.

  • Evaluate previous month s results to plan; review product-rate driver trends.

  • Update economic scenarios and projections.

  • Evaluate product rate positioning relative to financial projections, update pricing strategies, communicate updates and execute short term tactics with the longer-term impact considered.

  • Partner with other disciplines sharing insights from competitor, price elasticity and break-even analyses for enhancing sales, cross-selling, client retention initiatives.


  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Science, Statistics or similar.

  • Master s degree preferred.

  • 3-5+ years experience in product development, business analytics, financial modeling, strategy or consulting.

  • Financial industry and deposit management or pricing experience preferred.

  • Team Player within and across teams.

  • Drive to succeed and bottom-line oriented to the success of the consumer franchise.

  • Capable of independently recommending product and pricing strategies to improve financial results.

  • Effectively utilizing business acumen and technical skills to forecast revenue and pricing elasticity.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, SAS (or similar statistical software), SQL, and Tableau (or similar data visualization software).
