Eaton Corporation Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager to join our team.

This position is based at our Beachwood, OH, Moon Township, PA, Southfield, MI, Glendale Heights or Eden Prairie facilities or an approved home office.

Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager supports the development and deployment of the Supply Chain Design Center of Excellence strategy at Eaton. In this role, you will help build a fully standalone center of excellence by establishing the initial set of standard processes and guidelines and developing supply chain network models for our key initiatives.

The Supply Chain Modeling and Optimization Manager will leverage synergies across businesses and drive the “One Supply Chain” philosophy to maximize results within and across businesses.

  • You will develop supply chain network models with a Total Cost of Ownership approach using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru or other Supply Chain modeling software.

  • You will manage and prioritize a pipeline of global initiatives, scope projects, identify resource requirements, articulate deliverables and develop timelines.

  • You will evaluate and identify optimal site locations, inventory levels, transportation lanes and appropriate mix of transportation and contracting strategies.

  • You will develop standard models for large Direct Materials commodities (> $100m), to evaluate impact of sourcing reliability, volume fluctuations, and supplier footprint.

  • You will develop inventory optimization models using Inventory Guru

  • You will work directly with internal stakeholders and business leaders to understand business objectives, identify data requirements and formulate strategies that yield value.

  • You will identify opportunities for improvement, solution alternatives, and calculate benefits to the end-to-end supply chain.

  • You will present your findings at multiple levels of seniority within the organization and recommend best-fit solutions based on the rigor of the supply chain modeling process.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States on an on-going basis without Company sponsorship

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution

  • 1-2 years’ experience with LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru or similar optimization

  • 5-10 years’ experience, in strategic network design and optimization, inventory optimization/simulation, transportation optimization, process and material flow optimization and/or production, inventory and transportation planning

  • 3-5 years’ supply chain experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities

  • 3-5 years’ professional experience for a Fortune 1000 industrial company in a global environment

Position Success Criteria:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally among the entire supply chain

  • Knowledge of common logistics standard processes and IT systems

  • Advanced skill with MS Office suite, especially Excel, Access and MS PowerPoint

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with senior management, suppliers, operations and SCM personnel

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to coordinate or work with cross-functional and global teams

  • Ability to influence and drive effective organizational change across impacted regions/businesses

  • Ability to manage cost-out projects against scope, schedule and budget
