What you’ll be doing...
Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate.This Technology Program Management Office is the governing organization for oversight and control points for the cross-organizational deliverables that are required in order to realize the benefits of investment for Verizon. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of an established team, working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Responsibilities include:Work in conjunction with internal business partners including Network Engineering, Planning, IT, Finance & Operations teams from all Verizon lines of business to design, deliver and implement this program.
Provide governance and drive direction of multiple cross-organizational work streams
Manage end-to-end processes and efficiencies, across all network technology, product, operations and functional support organizations.
Establish delivery of KPIs and quality metrics.
Be a catalyst for change and efficiency as we improve or leverage existing processes.
What we’re looking for...
- You have network engineering/operations experience and can use that experience to efficiently partner with our engineering and Network Planning teams.
You’ll need to have:Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:Outside Plant engineering experienceExtensive Knowledge of Verizon Wireless and Wireline Organizations (preferred)Strategic thinking skills and are able to create actionable business plans by working cross-functionally with technical and business partners and senior stakeholders.Experience cultivating strong collaborations with business and technical partners, and senior leadership.An eye on external technology advancements, our competitive landscape, and future trends.Effective interpersonal and team building capabilities.Strong project planning and time management.Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working with all leadership levels.Demonstrated excellent problem solving skills.Demonstrated expert knowledge and proven experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies.Proven track record of leadership of project accomplishments including successful project launches.A deep understanding of business operations
