What You’ll Get to Do
CACI (BITS) is seeking skilled, passionate and operationally-driven SOCOM Field Service Engineers (FSE) to provide training, technical and software agnostic field support for forward-deployed users of operational and advanced analytic intelligence support systems.
More About the Role
As an FSE, you will enable the continuous improvement of technologies through in-depth and thoroughly vetted SOF user requests and the conceptualization, design, and development of customized workflows and tools derived from intimate knowledge of user needs, mission planning/execution, and advanced analytic platforms. Services provided will include but are not limited to: engineering and technical administration; embedded data services, analytical support, mentorship for workflow development, data source integration, and expert utilization of multiple software capabilities to solve mission critical information challenges. In this capacity, you will support SOF users of operational and intelligence platforms including Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS)-SOF, Fusion Analysis and Development Effort (FADE), EIA, Analyst Notebook, Esri, and other Advanced Analytic Software (AAS) and Mission Command System / Common Operational Picture (COP) applications as they are fielded, both in garrison and from forward-deployed locations. In addition, you will provide user support for operational and intelligence applications, enhancements, data services, data integrations and migrations; testing, documentation, data management, and maintenance for software systems that are server, cloud and/or mobile based.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree minimum education requirement (additional years of experience may be directly substituted).
Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in technical support position and Operational or Intelligence Community (IC) operations, platforms, functions, and terminology experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing and training software systems/updates, standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
Must be and remain deployable to any theater of operations.
Active Individual Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance; consent to a CI poly if requested.
Forward-deployed experience as an FSR, FSE, Operations Integrator, or 18F capacity.
Multi-INT analytical experience using FADE, Esri and Analyst Notebook (ANB) in support of operations.
Experience supporting Special Operating Forces (SOF) in an analytical capacity with the ability to create relevant and custom workflows in support of SOCOM mission-specific training efforts.
Ability to provide briefing and demonstration support to SOCOM customers as requested by the program. This may include interactions with community seniors and military officers.
SIGINT experience with a strong technical background.
Understanding of or prior experience with systems administration, including hardware, networks and servers.
Familiarity with or prior experience providing engineering support to software development activities.
Ability to take an active role in gathering and clearly articulating end-user requirements and recommended tool enhancements to the SOCOM government customer.
Significant prior trainer/instructor experience to include the creation of training materials.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proven detail-oriented analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work with and support end-users with varying levels of technical competencies – government, military, and contractor.
Team player with the ability to also work independently with limited supervision.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Background in adult learning and/or instructional systems design
Prior experience supporting help desk activities.
Previous experience using JIRA.
Familiarity with or prior experience using Bodhi.
Knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
