Oracle Web Designer/Developer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Responsible for the overall appearance and function of websites. Provides for the delivery of content and message on website, Mobile applications, Interactive Media and e-Mail efforts in execution of the company's digital strategy

Provides technical support and administration of the software infrastructure for the implementation and maintenance of company's digital efforts. Designs and maintains web pages/digital interfaces/applications. Develops user interface features, site animation and special effects. Coordinates wtith web content developers to ensure the delivery of the content and message is accurate. Provides technical site maintenance, consultation on issues related to animation, search engine techniques, link integrity, navigation, browsers, graphics and other technical developments. Develops code using HTML, Visual Basic or other web-based/digital application programming languages. Prepares technical documentation

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Knowledge of digital activities, applications, techniques, tools, HTML code, Java, GIF, animation, browsers and basic GUI design related applications. Advanced working knowledge of HTML, Javascript and CSS required. Corporate web design experience also required. May have project lead role. 5 years related experience. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed.

The Real Estate & Facilities organization for one of the world's most recognized enterprise technology brands is seeking a web designer/developer to create a great intranet user experience for Oracle's own employees. Real Estate & Facilities (RE&F) manages Oracle owned and leased properties around the world and provides many employee services. You would be part of the Real Estate Technologies team whose mission is to introduce and maintain Oracle technology that will enhance the experience of our internal customers and improve the efficiency of Real Estate & Facilities.

You will collaborate with the RE&F Communications team on vision, requirements and design, and with the Real Estate Technologies and MyOracle Content Advocacy teams on all phases of the web development lifecycle to modernize, streamline and support Real Estate & Facilities' 800 page intranet website. You will artfully balance the delivery of standards-compliant, cross-browser/platform compatible web pages with your passion for introducing emerging technologies.

As a highly motivated and creative web designer/developer, you will enjoy the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders and colleagues to conceptualize solutions based on business and user requirements, best practices, standards, and Oracle guidelines

  • Research, explore and propose solutions utilizing the latest in web technology being deployed by Oracle internally as well as on the internet

  • Work independently to evaluate, estimate, plan, and schedule the work necessary to deliver delightful solutions to our employees

  • Work closely with stakeholders on execution of each solution, providing complete and timely updates throughout the project lifecycle

  • Architect and deliver a complete code base for existing and new sites and all supporting elements

  • Implement code in a manner that is documented, robust, efficient, and repeatable

  • Create and deliver mockups, POCs, production-ready code and specifications

  • Drive a scalable, flexible, and component-based site framework

  • Be responsible for ongoing maintenance, bug fixing, and improvement of your code

  • Execute, understand, and implement Oracle s brand and visual identity

  • Manage day-to-day development activities including access management

  • Provide coded templates, pages, and components using your tool bag of web technologies

  • Create, document and provide training on RE&F standards and development best practices

Skills you'll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a development capacity at a web agency, software company or other technology-oriented business. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

  • Excellent design skills and understanding of user experience constructs as demonstrated by portfolio work

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with content management systems and corporate intranets

  • Solid understanding of large-scale websites and web development lifecycles

  • Expert skills and extensive experience using Photoshop, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, HTML, HTML5, XML, JSON, JQuery and Unix/Linux server environments

  • Experience with any of the following technologies would be an asset: Illustrator, Oracle Application Express, Oracle database and middle-tier, PL/SQL, analytics (SiteCatalyst), Web Center Content, video/audio editing tools, VideoJS, and Handlebar.js

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task, organize your own work and that of others, and to work to deadlines

  • Creative problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

  • Ability to lead and indirectly influence and manage others

  • Experience working with distributed team members
