This position is for an Actuary who will oversee the actuarial functions for our New Jersey plan as well as oversight responsibilities of our Maryland Plan and assist in some areas of our Virginia plan as time allows. This position will work closely with the Medicaid actuarial team, Plan leadership, and other actuarial teams including, but not limited to Pharmacy and Medicare actuarial teams, in a number of functions including Medicaid, ACA Expansion, Long-Term Care (LTSS), and Dual Eligible products including an expected D-SNP product.

Fundamental Components:


  • Management of Resources- Lead/manage projects established to support goals identified in strategic and operating plans. Influence/motivate resources within and outside of direct control to complete projects. Exhibit innovative use of resources.

  • Scope of Decision Making Authority- Broad decision making authority typically tied to level of financial impact.


    Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years related experience.

    Must have a minimum of Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

    Prior Medicaid experience is highly desired

    Strong communication skills and presentation skills are required

    Excellent technical skills

    Proven experience in pricing, reserving and forecasting is required


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
