What’s the role?

Oracle Supply Chain Operations manages the hardware supply chain for

both the (external) commercial business and also for internal customers in

support of the rapidly growing Oracle Cloud.

The Demand Planning organization is responsible for forecasting

consumption of all Oracle hardware items, including Oracle Cloud data center

hardware, enterprise servers, networking equipment and Point of Sale (POS)

Systems. We are looking for a talented

individual to help us drive efficiencies and accuracy in planning by expanding

the use of automation, exception reporting and dash-boarding – striving to

eliminate non-value-added activities. This individual will possess a rare blend of supply

chain operations acumen combined with technical skills that can quickly make a

significant positive impact to the organization.

What will I do?

  • Develop new dashboards, scorecards or exception reporting toprovide actionable Business Intelligence to planners and senior managers

  • Automate and / or re-engineer existing planning processes and analytics

  • Recommend visualizations or other communication techniques to bestdisseminate information

  • Identify areas for opportunity by working with variousstakeholders in planning, and recommend solutions

  • Extract, analyze and transform large data sets into meaningfulinsights in support of the above activities

  • Enable demand planners and senior managers to focus on value-addedactivities, improving accuracy and customer satisfaction

What are you looking for in acandidate?

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing MBAor MS in Operations Management, ManagementInformation Systems or Computer Science

  • GPA– 3.4 or greater

  • Graduatingbetween December 2018 and May/June 2019

Additional Qualifications

  • Expert level Microsoft Excel skills

  • Data visualization / Business Intelligence tools: Oracle Data Visualization, Tableau, MicrosoftPower BI or similar

  • SQL or PL/SQL coding ability

  • Oracle Database, MS SQL Server or similar

  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience desirable

  • Business understanding of global supply chain operationsand the inherent challenges of a truly global supply chain

  • Background in statistical analysis

  • Process re-engineering experience

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-pace and dynamic environmentwith a level of ambiguity consistent with new business models

  • Team player, excellent leadership, interpersonal and communicationskills at all levels
