The Dovetail Account Manager (Carrier) develops, grows, and maintains the relationship between the organization and clients, with a focus on growth (e.g., increasing amount or type of coverage, and/or products and services, for existing accounts) and retention. Responsible for “Delivering the Firm” by aligning client strategies and needs to the company’s capabilities and resources. Liaises between internal teams, vendors, clients, on an ongoing basis to ensure high service delivery and to respond to questions. Serves as a contact on an ongoing basis by addressing ad hoc requests and managing satisfaction. Coordinates, recommends and evaluates delivery of solutions and products to ensure alignment with potential and identified requirements, agreements, quality control standards, compliance requirements and established processes.
Maintains and expands accounts and assists senior level colleagues with maintaining and expanding large or complex accounts to refine and develop technical and managerial sales skills as well as gain exposure. Collaborates with senior level colleagues and project specialists to identify key decision makers, account needs and underlying risks to determine potential services, products and combinations that will best serve and address client business objectives, business compliance so as to expand accounts. Conducts research and analyses to target new buyer hubs and gain insight as to expansion opportunities strategizing internal offerings and market trends to ideally institutionalize accounts within the business. Analyzes and conceptualizes collected project, account and/or market quantitative and qualitative data into a viable offering for proposal work for personal or superior colleagues' accounts. Assists in developing solutions to address account and/or prospective account needs for a complex account and effectively presents or assists with presentations for all solutions to senior colleagues or accounts/prospects. Works to ensure all managed accounts are in good standing and addresses escalated issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner so as to ensure operational excellence and relationship satisfaction. Nourishes and grows professional network within client organizations. Attends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree, with a Master of Business Administration preferred. Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, including superior verbal and written skills.
A high level detail orientation. Superior communication skills with the ability to provide non-technical explanations to technical matters, and summarize and present information in a clear, concise and accurate written and verbal format, both remotely and in person. Ability to build consensus across internal and external clients A solid knowledge and understanding of risk management and insurance, with experience in brokerage or underwriting preferred Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce. Experience in strategic planning and execution, including key account management and large complex insurer relationships Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed
